"We hired Drink Slingers for our small wedding and could not have asked for a better experience! Sadie (one of the co-owners) was quick to respond to our communications, offered excellent advice and knowledge about what kind of menu options we should offer, and gave us a lot of freedom to personalize our cocktail and beer menu. Even though SXSW was going on during a chunk of our planning period and Drink Slingers was slammed with events, we never once felt that we weren't a priority.
Moreover, the service at the wedding itself was outstanding! Drink Slingers did an excellent job setting up a small, clean, well-decorated bar area with nice decorations and lighting. Our ceremony and reception were Lord of the Rings-themed, and our bartender Nicole went out of her way to dress up-- even though she totally didn't have to! "Sadie is the absolute best when it comes to planning a drink menu for a reception. My now-husband and I were married on March 25th, 2018, and while we never met Sadie in person, she was incredibly helpful in our planning process. We handled a majority of the plans for our wedding on our own, and had never held an event for 100+ people before. When we decided that we wanted to serve beer and wine only at our reception, we had absolutely no idea how to calculate how much we would need to purchase. Nanette personally walked me through my choices and set up a shopping list tailored to the events needs. She made it so EASY. "We had an wedding reception on April 2, 2016, and these folks were just terrific. They worked with us before the event to make sure we had the right 'mix' of drinks (see what I did there?) and supplies. On the day of the event, they just flat out 'owned it.' The team was 1) efficient 2) hard working 3) exceedingly friendly and pleasant (so said all who interacted with them) 4) and most importantly, allowed me to fully relax and attend the the guests.
I also appreciated how, as the father of the bride, they let me cut the line just a tad. These Slingers will remain the only servers in my phone, and on speed dial to boot. Since our venue was a location she had not worked at previously she met me a few weeks before our wedding to get a feel for the layout and amenities.
